To Liz. Warrior of Breast Cancer.

I paint with hands that haven't ever known the pain, or devastation, of knowing I might not live beyond today; a luxury among the women I paint for. I have not ever taken the moments when their painting is given to them lightly, knowing I interrupt their fight with this gift.

With everything I am, these paintings represent my admiration they live above their diagnosis, as if they aren't worried, or afraid, knowing when they lay their head on their pillow, they're bravery subsides to bartering with God another day, please, another day. At least, that's my prayer for all of you, sweet Warriors, I pray and beg you meet your cure. Until then, I give you all I have; painted canvas.

Please know with every dip of the brush into paint and onto its surface, I am absorbed in prayer for you. You deserve better, you should have been treated more fairly, but all I can do is paint. Please let this painting act as an embrace every time you pass it hanging on the wall, knowing there are hundreds of people who celebrate your bravery, your beautiful Warrior Ways, and we give this gift to you, together, so you never fight alone.
