Between the Waves

This painting is for an Anonymous Warrior, in his late teens, whose mother wants her son to know privately, he is her Warrior.

Cancer not only deteriorates the body, it also crushes a super athlete's dreams to continue football, Friday night lights, rivalries, and professional football plans. Digest being a high school teenage boy with a likely pro career diagnosed with cancer. It would be the equivalent to me waking up without hands.

I put my soul into this and also had a very serious conversation with my six-year-old while painting it. It's title, "Between Waves" represents a place of finding himself again but to remember he's the Eagle, not the water.

We would all do ourselves a great service to get on with our lives in one way or another. Thank you for putting some things into perspective for me, I needed this painting, and I am so grateful to have felt this moved by learning your story.
